The greatest event of our life…

The Perfect Plan truly delivers perfectly! We were seeking to have a simple classic wedding and just didn’t know how to create the look. Tia definitely knows ALL about weddings. Her organization and supportive,calm personality was needed especially when I wasn’t always sticking to the timeline. From the beginning of the planning to the time we returned from our honeymoon; everything was in order! We have never seen a directress keep the BIG day running as smoothly as she did. Of course the last 24 hours prior to saying “I do” there was a flood of questions from traveling family members to the wedding party. Tia gave me helpful advice on how to stay stress free and direct everyone to her. With over 400 people in attendance at the wedding and 200 at the private dinner reception we thought for sure something wrong was bound to happen. Tia and her team swiftly orchestrated the wedding and wonderfully setup the reception location. During the reception we were able to visit everyone, take pics, and party! Many kudos to The Perfect Plan team that helped us stick to our timeline from start to finish; making this the greatest event of our life.

The Perfect Plan was simply incredible…

Tia at the Perfect Plan was simply incredible. She went way above & beyond just the “day of coordinator” duties. She helped us along the way..staring at 3/4 months out, the week of the wedding she helped me run errands around raleigh, she SAVED my rehearsal dinner by serving food, etc, and on the actual wedding day she got breakfast & lunch for all the BM and women getting ready with me. She also has assistants that will work at the reception venue all day to prepare it. She stayed with me the whole day and did anything and everything I needed her to. She brought our luggage to the wedding night hotel, and returned our linens to Andy’s Tents & Events. Tia has many connections within the wedding industry, is very creative, and was able to handle high stress family situations for me as well. This was the best money I spent on the wedding and I cannot say enough good things about her or the Perfect Plan! I would HIGHLY recommend her to any bride!

Wouldn’t have changed a thing…

My husband and I had a wonderful experience working with Tia McLaurin and would highly recommend her. We came to work with her under unique circumstances on a very short deadline. Tia volunteered her planning services to Operation Marry Me Military, an all inclusive wedding package contest for a military couple that my husband and I won in the middle of August 2011. The date and location of the wedding were already set for Veterans Day, 11-11-11 in Raleigh. At that time my husband and I weren’t familiar with Raleigh as neither of us live in the area. In less than three months Tia found over three dozen local businesses to sponsor our wedding by donating their time and services as well, covering every aspect of the wedding. She has wonderful connections and relationships with so many vendors in the Raleigh area and we are still amazed how she pulled everything together so quickly. My husband and I were more than pleased with each of her recommendations and wouldn’t have changed a thing.

We started our wedding planning in the middle of August via phone chats and email. Tia asked lots of questions to get to know us and what we wanted in our wedding. It wasn’t until the middle of October that we were able to make a trip to Raleigh to meet in person. Tia is a lot of fun and very attentive while still presenting herself as a professional. She went above and beyond to make sure we had an awesome wedding. Because our wedding came together so quickly and everything was being donated, there were a few details we didn’t know much about until the day of. Normally I like to be in control of things and know exactly what is going on at all times but my husband and I were able to relax and put all of our trust in Tia. She did an incredible job communicating with vendors to make sure everything was tailored just the way we would like it. I really never had anything to stress about and if something went wrong, she must have done a great job covering it because I didn’t notice. Even with more time, we could have never pulled everything together on our own like she did.

I hope you enjoy working with Tia just as much as we did. She’s very kind, caring and is the kind of person that quickly becomes a friend. My husband and I look forward to keeping in touch with her and many of our other vendors as we quickly fell in love with the city of Raleigh and will make it a regular place to visit now.

I honestly can say our wedding day was perfect…

My advice about planning a wedding 1) Get a wedding planner. 2) Make sure it’s Tia. I’ve talked to a lot of people over the last year about my wedding and my number one thing that I would tell people was get a planner. Tia is the reason why. Before my wife and I started planning, I had no idea what went into a wedding. Thank goodness for Tia. She made it so stress-free for us. With all of her contacts we showed up to appointments and all we had to do was say yes or no, which was very important since our wedding was in Wilmington and we live in Raleigh. She put us in contact with great vendors and great people. She made it so easy and let us live our lives while she went out and did the leg work for us. Not only did she plan our wedding, she played the roles of couples counselor, voice of reason and good friend. And that was above and beyond what I thought the scope of what a planner should be.

So, with that said, the days leading up to the wedding were great. We spent our time with our family and friends hanging out at the beach while Tia took care of all the details. I was afraid we’d be running around having to do all kinds of last minute work. I was wrong. Tia told us at the beginning that we’d be able to just relax and have fun, and she kept her word. Then, the wedding came and everything was perfect. The ceremony was beautiful, and when we walked into our reception, we found she had knocked it out of the park! I honestly can say our wedding day was perfect. Tia was the reason everything went so well, not only did she care about the event, she cared about us and most importantly wanted us to be happy. I’ll leave my note at this: without Tia our wedding would have been nice, but not PERFECT.

Being that we are in the wedding industry ourselves we have actually worked with other wedding planners on a vendor to vendor relationship. Tia is fantastic…

Tia is fantastic. When my fiancé and I decided to have a small wedding reception at our home, Tia was the first person I called. Her attention to detail and easygoing, friendly attitude make her wonderful to work with. When Tia and I met to discuss the event, I told her I was looking for a “casually elegant” afternoon reception. From that point on, she handled everything. Tia has an amazing network of vendors and even with my limited budget, she was able to put together a beautiful event. True passion…

Tia has a true passion for what she does and we knew she would do a professional job with coordinating our large spring wedding. Never did we imagine that she would be there emotionally to help ease the anxiety of the many decisions that we had to make. Tia has a way of staying calm, flexible and focused when last minute things come up and that was important to us. The week leading up to the wedding Tia became the liaison for all of our vendors to contact if they had questions so my fiance and I could relax. On the day of the wedding Tia took pictures of everything and sent it to our blackberries for our final approval. She made me and my husband feel special throughout the entire planning process. We will forever be grateful to her.  She is a true gem! .

Everyone wants a ceremony that is special and reflects their style…

When I arrived at my bridal shower I was pleasantly surprised. It was obvious that time and attention had been put into every little detail. The Perfect Plan asked all the right questions and made sure that it was a classy occasion that still represented my style. They chose a fabulous sushi spot in town that I had yet to visit. The food and the environment were perfect. My shower was a wonderful success and prelude to a beautiful marriage ceremony. The Perfect Plan coordinated everything for us in such a way that all the pieces came together divinely. Everyone wants a ceremony that is special and reflects their style. However, you may not have the time or creativity to pull it off effortlessly.
